─想いを込めた栞

この栞は、本来なら廃棄されるはずだった端切れを再利用し、ひとつひとつ手作業で作りました。

京都・室町は、古くから呉服店が立ち並ぶ着物の問屋街として栄え、日本全国へ生地や着物を送り出してきた地です。そんな室町の文化を今に受け継ぐ「東洋㮈染」さんは、昔ながらの伝統模様や柄を大切にしながら、今もなお美しい染めの技術を守り続けています。
この栞は、その「東洋㮈染」さんから譲り受けた端切れを活かして作ったものです。

この栞に込めた、3つの想い

① もっと本を読んでほしい
この栞が、本を手に取るきっかけになれば嬉しいです。本を読むことで、新しい知識や考え方に触れることができます。無学で損をすることはあっても、学ぶことで損をすることはありません。本を通じて、人生が豊かになることを願っています。

② 日本のものづくりを盛り上げたい
日本には素晴らしいものづくりの文化があります。しかし、伝統を守りながら新しい価値を生み出していくことは簡単ではありません。

Kyoto’s Muromachi district has long been a hub for kimono wholesalers, where textiles and kimonos were distributed throughout Japan. One company that carries on this tradition is Toyo Sen-Sen, which continues to preserve the beauty of traditional patterns and dyeing techniques.
This bookmark is crafted from fabric remnants generously provided by Toyo Na-Sen.
